A local boy from Lewisham who became one of the most beloved players in the club's history, "Rocky" was a key part of both League title wins of 1989 and 1991. He died in 2001, aged just 33, from non-Hodgkin lymphoma: Arsenal and bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur both observed a minute's silence in his memory, a measure of the respect he commanded across English football.
