Fourteen years on the books, spanning Plumstead, the move to Highbury and the First World War, which is longer than almost anyone else from the Woolwich years managed. He shared the league scoring lead with Pat Flanagan in 1912/13 and left in 1921 with 206 league appearances behind him.
