A one-club man across nineteen years and Arsenal's captain for most of them, Adams lifted the League title in three different decades (1989, 1991, then 1998 and 2002) and openly battled and overcame alcoholism midway through his career, later founding a clinic to help other sportspeople with addiction. He remains one of the most iconic captains in the club's history.
